Wooden wine racks and wooden wine boxes for versatile wine storage

Wine racks made of wood are unlike other materials made from a natural ressources. Wood is durable, easy to work with and stable. Wooden wine racks can consist of softwoods such as spruce, fir and pine. These conifer varieties are easy to process and therefore well suited for the production of unique and decorated design wine racks. Wine racks made of hardwoods such as oak, beech, walnut, cherry or teak are very robust. In addition, hardwoods are weather resistant.

Treatment of wooden wine racks

To protect the wood of the wine racks, glazes, stains or colors are commonly used. The colors are chosen according to the surrounding ambience and the location: from light natural-colored glazes on untreated wood, to rustic-brown stains or black-brown lacquers, to colorfully designed wine racks. Wood wine racks are made of both solid wood and wood-based materials such as hardboard, chipboard or medium density fiberboard (MDF). For humid wine cellars, wine racks made of MDF are best suited because they swell less quickly.

Expandable wooden bottle racks

Due to production possibilities, wooden wine racks are often available as modular wine racks. These (often square) models can be placed side by side or on top of each other. Thus, a wine rack system can be expanded as needed and grow with the wine collection.

Contemporary style: wooden wine boxes

Currently wine boxes are made of wood. These convey a more rustic atmosphere. Even wine crates can be stacked well and possibly arranged in different sizes to form a beautiful wall construction, in which not only bottles, but also accessories can be placed.
